Physical Appearance: Birkin is of average height, roughly 5’8”, and tends to slouch. He is often lax with shaving and tends to sport some level of stubble, though he never allows it to grow out. He is thin, but that is mostly due to his absent-mindedness when it comes to remembering it’s time to eat, rather than any amount of exercise or dietary restraint. He tends to dress rather casually, with a short-sleeved collared shirt with a few top buttons undone, and a messy tie and jeans. Occasionally, he can even be coaxed into brushing his dirty blonde hair, but at least he showers regularly. He’s also fond of wearing a white lab coat.

Personality: Birkin is extremely approachable, but distant and inattentive. His mind is continually focusing on things other than the person in front of him, unless you manage to catch his interest. He enjoys long walks on the beach, highly alcoholic beverages, and scientific journals. Used to being treated as a prince due to his intellect – and it doesn’t hurt that he’s attractive, either – he can come off as arrogant and self-absorbed. He enjoys nothing more than proving himself superior to everyone around him, up to and including his exploits behind closed doors. His attention flits from one thing to the next, and he often finds that he cannot sit still – if there is a closed book, he must open it; if there are papers, he must rifle them; if there is room to pace, he will pace. This hyper excess of energy is simply a side effect of his genius.

He is very confident and self-assured, certain that even if he does not know how to do something – from cooking to playing a musical instrument – it will take very little effort to learn. Intellectual pursuits always came easy, so why not everything else? Even should he question his abilities, it will never bleed through his outward confidence.

History: Birkin was one of the child geniuses rounded up by Umbrella, who also included Albert Wesker, and brought to work in one of their laboratories. He and Wesker immediately proved that they had the most potential and thus were forced to work together, referred to as “Scholar Will” and “Practical Al.”. Birkin eventually proved himself the superior scientist, creating the G-Virus, which he considered his life’s work. At some point during his research, he met and married a fellow scientist, Annette, and they had a daughter Sherry. Within a locket, Birkin placed a sample of his precious virus, giving in to his properly placed paranoia, and gave it to his daughter to wear. Birkin wanted more time to research the virus, but it quickly ran out, and Spencer sent HUNK and his team to take the virus, and a soldier with an itchy trigger finger pumped Birkin full of lead. Before dying, Birkin injected himself with a strain of his virus, and mutated to turn into Resident Evil 2’s tyrant protagonist. He also tentacle raped and impregnated his daughter, but who’s counting.
